If the alphabet is a human invention, humans are the love's invention and the creators of love! Within this dilemma, humans since ancient ages have tried to express love and passion through art: poem, literature, painting, Sculpture, and other artifacts, some of which reached us while much had been lost in history. Yet, the single constant in all the changing conditions over the years is that love was, still, and will remain the supreme unique human value. The worth that connects humans to their existential and emotional entity and gifts them with that solid band by which they cohere.
We, the Syrians, Our ancient ancestors, were the first to write down the meanings in letters and transfer the sense into existence. Therefore, we followed the traces of love in history and reached the oldest archaeological records related to love. We found out that our ancestors were true lovers!
The first written alphabet in history was found in the Syrian Ugarit, that city where - if you visit it - you almost embrace the souls of old lovers. You almost realize how much love it had embraced between its erected columns and stubborn walls that still resist the vicissitudes of history. And if the alphabet does not write love, why does it exist!?
In this distinctive piece of art, we inscribe in the cuneiform script, which the people used to write their love messages in old Mesopotamia, one of the fanciest words of love that lovers once transmitted. It still flows in our words, poems, and love letters to this day without realizing that these words were the building blocks of love stories our grandparents once lived in somewhere we might not have thought before!
